18 people said yes: from the ticket email before the gates opened, on their badge during the weekend, or at home inside the 14 days after. Anyone can read this Pool. Each person decides who may write to them, and anyone can leave in one action.

The charter

Everyone at Slack Water 2026, 28 to 30 August on the Port Ellery waterfront, who said yes, for the weekend and after. The QR on each badge asked; nobody was listed by buying a ticket. Find the person you talked to at the fiddle workshop, or at the rope-splicing table, next week or next month. Leave any time. This Pool is not for selling anything to anyone.

How it is kept

Birdie Novak was listed as a co-curator from the day the Pool opened, so there was always a second keeper, first in line §9.3.
On Monday 31 August the festival office made Birdie the primary curator and stepped back. Marit stays listed and takes no action. The handover

The words on each badge are that person’s own page, parsed when they said yes. Photos stay on their pages §2.5.
If nobody keeps it for 90 days it goes dormant, and nothing is deleted §9.1. Last year’s did.

Leaving is one action

This is Kofi’s own screen for the Pool: his badge, who keeps the Pool, and one way out. Leaving sends one withdrawal message, and the Pool must process it within sixty seconds §5.3. His page stays his. Anyone he has already written to keeps the thread, because messages go by email §6.1.

Privacy in a Pool comes from its visibility. kindling_noindex means something else: “do not include me in any Pool at all” §2.7.
